The purpose of Amherst Community Church Child Care Center is to provide an inclusive and open environment for quality childcare as an outreach to the surrounding communities. Our aim is to provide a secure and loving atmosphere where each child has the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively to his/her fullest potential. We support this with an environment that encourages learning through play and hands-on experiences.
We believe that our professional team of teachers complements and balances each other and understand the importance of mutual respect and communication. By meeting the needs of our teachers’ professional development we continue to promote developmentally appropriate practice, as well as their growth in the field.
Together our children, families and staff learn life; its joys, its frustrations, its uncertainties, its tenderness, its pain, and its wonder. We honor and respect that process for all.
